The approval of mRNA vaccine technique against COVID-19 opens a door to research and the creation of new drugs against different infectious pathologies or even cancer, since for several diseases the therapeutic options are limited, and different viral diseases are treated only symptomatically. For these reasons, this study proposed a hypothesis supported by biological studies, that it provides a theoretical basis for the possible development of a drug that used the mRNA technique and the ribonucleolytic action of a ribonuclease for a possible antiviral therapy, and analyzed a future perspective of this technique in order to provide a bibliographic basis on this hypothesis and motivate researchers to carry out biological studies on this topic.

The development of tissue engineering provides various opportunities to vascular tissue engineering. Scaffold plays an essential role in vascular tissue engineering. The selection of biomaterials used as scaffolds will determine the success of vascular tissue engineering. The structure of vascular system, which consists of three layers, is embedded in extracellular matrices that provide the mechanical properties of the system. Therefore, tissue engineering of a vascular structure needs various suitable biomaterials as scaffold that can support vascular system mechanical properties and function. Various materials were used for 3D printing and electro-spinning with good results, including collagen, gelatin, and alginate. Varying sizes of blood vessels require scaffolds with biomaterials that could adapt to their shape, size and approximate the mechanical properties of the blood vessels.

Dates have been used to ameliorate various gastrointestinal diseases. This study aimed to evaluate the gastroprotective effect of ajwa dates extract on rats induced by aspirin. Rats were divided into five groups using a completely randomized design. Group 1 received only 300 mg/kg BW aspirin. Group 2 received 25.2 mg/kg BW omeprazole and aspirin 300 mg/kg BW. Groups 3, 4, and 5 received 250, 500, and 1.000 mg/kg BW ajwa dates extract and 300mg/kg BW aspirin, respectively, during 6 h. At the end of the examination, the average gaster damage score was 1.36, 0.24, 0.96, 0.68, and 0.80, in groups 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, respectively. The 500 and 1.000 mg/kg BW doses of ajwa dates extract significantly reduced the gaster damage score. It is suggested that the extract of the ajwa date could be utilized as a gastroprotective agent.

Ezetimibe is an antihyperlipidemic drug that lowers cholesterol levels. The purpose of this study was to compare different amounts of solid dispersions and formulations using various carriers in order to improve the dissolution. The Design Expert software was used to perform Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), 3D surface plots, counter plots, optimization, and desirability for a two-level factorial. Sun pharma laboratories limited market product, Ezentia, was compared to the optimised formulation, F6. We compared amount of released that was considerably increased using the solid dispersion method. The dissolving characteristics of the improved formulation, F6, and the market tablet were found to be similar, with f1 and f2 values of 11.71 and 99.89. When the experimental data matched the expected values, the model predictability and validity were shown.

Mutations in Ataxia-Telangiectasia Mutated (ATM) gene are prominently responsible for the condition. ATM gene encodes a serine/threonine protein kinase, a crucial component in DNA repair systems. Whole exome sequencing was performed on a nine year old male subject with clinical features of A-T. Alpha fetoprotein and immunoglobulins levels in the serum sample were also measured by biochemical testing. Sequencing test revealed c.7456C>T (p.Arg2486X) mutation in exon 50 of ATM gene in this patient. This mutation was previously described as a missense pathogenic variant that could lead to truncation or lack of protein.

The emergence of nosocomial infection due to Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) bacteria is a challenge to infection control. This study presented two Providencia species from two hospitalized patients admitted to Imam Hussein hospital in Iran. Biochemical and molecular tests were performed for the identification of the strains. The resistance pattern of these isolates was determined using an antimicrobial susceptibility test. Both P. stuartii isolates were resistant to all antibiotics. Among carbapenemase resistance genes, blaNDM, blaGES and blaKPC were detected in both of them. One isolate was able to transfer the resistant gene in the conjugation test. The presence of MDR strains among nosocomial infection agents such as P. stuartii isolates could affect the health care system efficiency.
