Diabetic Foot Ulcers (DFUs) are a common complication of poorly controlled diabetes and often become infected, termed diabetic foot infection. Despite using several multidisciplinary techniques, no significant cure is still achievable. So, it needs an alternative therapeutic approach to treat diabetic foot ulcers. So it needs to search for alternative highly effective nontoxic drugs or polyherbal formulations from plants to treat DFUs. In this study, we reviewed possible plants and research pathways that can be used to formulate an effective and safe herbal formulation to treat DFUs.

Health-care workers are one of the most at-risk groups in Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of this study was to investigate the pattern of Covid-19 among hospital employees. Among the participants there were 58 % nurses, 12 % physicians, 26 % other wards paraclinical and 4 % service personnel. In terms of educational qualifications, 2 %, 8 %, 68 %, 12 % and 10 % had diploma, associate degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree and above, respectively. The type of ward and the number of working hours of hospital staff as well as poor hand washing increase the incidence of Covid-19. However, no significant relationship was found between the time interval between contact and infection, knowledge of the use of precautions, how to get infected, the precrisis workplace ward of Covid-19 and the shifts of employees with Covid-19 disease

This article studied applicabilities of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), aiming at partitioning of Asparaginase (ASP). The first step investigated the partitioning of ASP using ATPS, consisting of polyethylene glycol and different inorganic salts. The studies of ASP partition were conducted by measuring the amounts of ASP in the upper and lower phase, followed by calculating the recovery. PEG of 6000 and (NH4)2SO4 provided the best performance with recovery yield of 86 %. The partitioning behavior of the approach was investigated in the presence of an impurity kind of amylase. Related partition coefficient of 0.21 and recovery yield of ASP of 86 % were calculated. A Circular Dichroism (CD) spectroscopy compared the structure of standard and partitioned ASP, which remained stable. The relative activity was determined to be 94 %. A feed-forward neural network was applied to predict the best model to partition of ASP.

Worldwide, infectious diseases have contributed significantly to morbidity and mortality; among the leading causes of death are pneumonia, respiratory infections and Covid-19. Stem cell therapy will be used to treat virus-infected patients in an effective and safe manner. A crosssectional questionnaire was used to collect data from doctors. Most doctors are aware of the applications of stem cells, but they do not confirm their usage because clinical trials are ongoing. Instead, they show support for using stem cells to treat patients. Stem cells have been hoping to help repair damaged tissues in the respiratory system to promote faster recovery. Stem Cells are being studied in current clinical trials for their efficacy and safety in virus severe pneumonia and respiratory infections. The doctors suggested that stem cells have been used in infectious diseases to improve their health.

The stalk domain of influenza as Hemagglutinin 2 (HA2) is a conserved unit of HA and is a candidate for a vaccine construct. We designed HA2/Mx (Myxovirus Resistance) as bio adjuvant construct for vaccine candidates. After immunization of Razi Balb/c mice in DNA/prime/boost strategy, for determination of the cellular immunity by an in vivo assay, the lymphocyte proliferation was evaluated. The result indicated the most stimulation index was by HA2 and Mx in three boosters, and effective stimulation of cellular immunity was obtained. No apparent side effects and histopathology were observed. Due to this result in cellular immunity and appropriate increase in humoral immunity that was obtained in our previous study, as well as the absence of antigen and adjuvant side effects, this construct can be introduced as a suitable candidate for developing an influenza vaccine.

Genetic disorders play an important role in male infertility, especially in Non-Obstructive Azoospermia (NOA). Many studies have been performed on the expression profiles of gonadal genes in order to accurately identify the genes involved in impaired spermatogenesis. In the current study, testicular biopsy, hormonal assay, and Real-Time PCR were done to check hormonal and gene expression levels of the CAPN11 and UBQLN3 genes in the testicular biopsy samples of 30 NOA and 30 Obstructive Azoospermia (OA) patients. The Real-time PCR showed that the expression of these genes decreased in azoospermia patients. The hormonal evaluation showed that FSH and LH significantly increased in NOA men and there was no difference in testosterone level between the two groups. Due to the obtained results of this study, CAPN11 and UBQLN3 can introduce as two biomarkers of NOA.

In the present study, a one-pot, green and three-component route for synthesis of Thiocarbohydrazone (TCS) derivatives is described. This reaction was performed in choline chloride/urea (1:2) as Deep Eutectic Solvent (DES). The structures were characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectra and elemental analysis. The derivatives were evaluated for their anti-mycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium bovis BCG, and the results revealed that among the synthesized compounds (1a-1h, 2a-2h, 3a-3h), 3b, 3c and 1b exhibited the highest activity with MIC value of 7.81 and 11.71 μg/mL. Additionally, the target compounds were evaluated for their anti-microbial activity against E.coli and Candida Albicans and the result indicated that in contrast to the low antifungal activity, the produced derivatives with electron-withdrawing substitution at the ortho, meta and para positions of benzyl ring includes 1d, 2b and 3d-3g demonstrated remarkable anti-micobacterial activities.
